Hi Tracey,
I recently re-read Auction Classified Cash 3 over the Christmas break with the intention of following it word for word, section by section, task by task.
You see, I have a terrible habit of jumping ahead and I feel that I miss vitally important steps at times because of it.
So I set about listing a Classified Ad on eBay to promote a product as an affiliate. Well, Good News! I woke this morning to find that I had received my VERY first Clickbank payment from a product that I promoted using your expertise and book.
After months and months of thinking that this was going nowhere I can actualy see a little bit clearer and am now looking to do a few more ads very soon.
I have a question though. Is it OK to run more than one Classified Ad on the same eBy acocunt at the same time? Do you think this has a negative view from eBayer’s if they see you promoting more than one thing at a time when they may be from different niches?
Anyway, a big thank you from me.
David

Hi David,
That’s fantastic news. Congratulations on your first sale! I hope you have many more.
As for running more than one Classified Ad through the same eBay account, I do it all the time. (Although to be fair I usually only run about 2 to 3 ads per eBay account at the one time and I use two different accounts).
A quick tip: Valentines Day is next month and lots of people start getting lonely – for the next month or so any dating products that you promote will be big sellers. Don’t forget to put the words Valentines Day in your auction titles for more views.
Take care
Tracey
Tracey – Interested in obtaining information on classified ads that show up in regular searches, but no bidding, simply a lead generator tool? Can I do this on eBay? If so, how may I do this? Thank you – max
Hi Max,
Yes you can! (that’s predominately what I use classified ads for). You can put your opt-in right into the ad.
Good luck!
Tracey
Hello Tracey,
Two things. One, I own your classified ads book. Is your new book and updated version? Do previous buyers get that for free or is that a new book alltogether.
Two….I follow your instructions . When I go to ebay pulse and search for searched items, there’s not much in the “Information Products” section except a lot of “how to” kewords. How do you decide which topic to put into an ad since it’s so vague?
thanks!
Hi Brigitte,
I last updated the book October 2008 (to version 3). I don’t have any more plans to update it in the future. If you have a version earlier than that one then yes I’ll happily send you the updated copy.
I wouldn’t search so much for just ‘information products’ but go much more general. For example if your info product is about weight loss then look at the types of words people are using in the fitness, diet and cookbook categories.
I’ve also found that using words that are searched for alot online (outside of eBay) work in the ad title as well. Tip: go to the magazine section of Amazon and find a mag in your niche. Grab one of the cover ‘blurbs’ for some great ideas on titles.
Tracey
Tracey, is the information in your book still valid for today?
Thanks.
Hi Kathy,
People are still using this method to build a mailing list and make money.
I personally don’t use the method anymore though as I’ve moved into affiliate marketing for Amazon which I love.
Hope that helps
Tracey
I bought the book and like it but I’m a little unclear on something. In the classified ad, do I promote the giveaway or the affiliate product? I thought I would look at a classified ad on ebay for the Auction Classified Cash book and couldn’t find one. I’m new to ebay so I probably wasn’t searching correctly, but I thought it strange that I couldn’t find the book there.
I know, stupid questions, but hey I’m a newbie.
Hi Joel,
Promote the freebie first – that’s what I always did. Then once they are on your list you can start promoting other products (and don’t just stick to one affiliate program, try a few).
As for ads promoting ACC I guess no one is promoting it right now! LOL – I don’t promote it myself anymore as I’ve moved onto other things.
t
Thanks for clearing that up.
Help – I have subcribed to Auction Classified Cash and want to know how to get into the templates. I wan to open the instructions which tell me to use an html editing program or notepad. I have no idea what this means. Please explain.
Hi John,
I’m sending you an email now.
Tracey
Hi Tracey,
I received an email today about Auction Classified Cash 3 and it looks very interesting but has it been updated since 2008 or is the information out of date now?
Many thanks
June
Hi June,
I actually haven’t updated it since 2008 as my focus is on different products these days.
Take care,
