Talk about moving the goal posts everytime we try and kick a goal, it seems that eBay has changed the rules YET AGAIN about what you can and cannot do with your classified ads.

The reports from the recent eBay Live 2008 conference are that they will no longer allow email addresses to appear in your classified ad after 1st September, a strategy that we have been using successfully up until now.  So while we still have a few months before they will start cracking down, it is time to look for more creative ways to take advantage of the 84 million customers that eBay gets.

Lucky for you I’ve already starting experimenting with a few new ideas that are still completely within eBay’s rules and while it’s still early days, my results are certainly looking promising!

In fact, I might even go so far to say that I think that these new methods of using classified ads are much more profitable than before – I’m finding a 12% increase in clickbank sales and a whopping 29% increase in opt-ins.  And while it’s still early days I’m thinking this is not bad at all!

I’ll be revealing all in the updated version of Auction Classified Cash coming out after 1st July.  All existing customers will be getting the new version automatically.

I will also be increasing the price after that time by a measly $10 (as I plan on adding a few ad templates to help you along as well).

1st July is nearly here and I predict that many eBay classified adders will have their ads removed for breaking the rules which means we will all have less competition, and that means more money for us!

Personally, I’m looking forward to the changes.

Happy Selling!
Tracey

I think ebay will soon see a big decrease in classified ad
listings if one can no longer include an email address in
which a seller can send info to an interested customer.
How is a potential customer able to request more details
if there is no email address to write to? This may be
like putting a classified ad in popular machanics without
including an address and expecting to get some inquiries.

I also agree that there will be a decline in classified ads.

In saying that, this is quite possibly the biggest opportunity for all of us interested in making money online to be creative and pool our thoughts to capitalise on an increase in market share.

People like Tracey Edwards, Jim Cockrum and John Thornhill seem to have a finger on the pulse and are consistently testing the boundaries. Personally it is exciting when someone comes up with a new idea or method. And because of these people, we then have a proven system to work with.

I will be watching with interest.

    Hi Tracey,

First a have to apologise for contacting you through your blog but I didn’t know how else to do it.

I live also in Australia Victoria and want to get in John’s coaching course. I work full time and don’t want to miss the opportunity to get in. What time was it here when he launched his program? I want to be ready when it goes live.

Also, how many hours a week did you spend in the program?

I have only sold about 5 things on eBay, I am just starting into the Internet Marketing business and having a person like you to ask for some encouragement will be a plus.

Can we be friends? I promise not to bother you too much.

    Thanks a million.

    Ana-Maria Castillo.

    Hi Ana-Marie,

I think it was around 7am here when he launched it.

I spent around 2-3 hours a week. Some weeks more, some less. The coaching was really good and I definately recommend it. I had already made over four times what it cost in just the first month when I realised my product.

Of course we can be friends!

    Peace
    Tracey

    Hi Tracey,

does this mean you cannot have an opt in form in your ads?

if so, what new options are there?

    thanks,

    john
