Your FREE eBay Report Sucks

I got a message from one of my opt-in’s over the weekend to say that my FREE eBay Report was basically a waste of time and that he has no confidence in any other product I offer now.

I have since changed the report to something I feel is much better.  It’s now like a little mini tutorial on how to sell ebooks on eBay which I’m hoping people like a lot more.  I sent the new report to all my subscribers asking for comments so we will see.

But it got me thinking.  Should I really have gone out of my way to change something just because one customer didn’t like it (even though it was free)?

In this case I think the comment was warranted because the original ebook was just a bunch of PLR stuff that I copy and pasted into a ‘report’.  This new report is, in my opinion, much more useful and more importantly – original.

While I don’t think that I’ll be making drastic changes everytime a customer yells jump in the future, I think for the sake of great customer service I have done the right thing this time.

  • Yes you heard (or read) correctly, I have started creating a little mini-product that I plan on selling on eBay very soon.  At least that’s what I think I ‘m going to do with it.  First I’m going to get advice on price, sales copy etc because really I have absolutely no idea about any of that stuff.

I had asked my boyfriend (who just happens to be a graphic designer) to do my graphics and ebook cover for me, but as usual he ‘hasn’t got around to it yet’.  Grrr .. I really want to send my product off for review, but can’t without any pretty pictures.  Men!  Sheesh, looks like I might have to do it myself then.

Anyway that will probably mean that it is delayed a bit.  I’m ever so impatient.  I want everything NOW.  Sigh ..

As you know I already have a few blogs under my belt, so I was wondering how I was going to differentiate this new one from my others.

In particular one of my blogs Tracey’s Ebooks Blog deals with tips and advice on my ebook business on eBay.  So how are these two blogs going to be different since essentially this will also focus on similar subject matter?

Aha! I have decided to keep Tracey’s Ebooks specifically for people wanting info on how to get started selling ebooks on eBay – it will be a ‘how-to-ebay’ blog.

Therefore this blog will be dedicated to writing about my products and what I am up to.  This will be a ‘me’ blog so will not be offering advice to others.  However you can still keep watch on the progress of any products that I’m about to release and see how they are progressing.

  • Welcome to my first WordPress Blog

Ok, so I’m not new to blogging, I already have about six other blogs on various topics, however they are all Blogger blogs.  This is my first WordPress blog.

And I don’t really know what I was so worried about, this is far easier than I thought it would be.  I was reluctant to start a WordPress blog because I wasn’t sure how to install in on my server or upload it.

But the instructions on the WordPress site were very easy to follow and I was up and running in around five minutes.  Well maybe ten – my internet connection seemed very slow today.

But don’t get me to choose a favourite yet, I’m still to new to WordPress.  I was getting quite proficient at Blogger even managing to change the tempates into three column’s, and I’m still a beginner here, but I can’t wait to learn more and change this boring starter template – it sucks!
